A Norfolk wedding |
The date of our wedding is April 2nd 2011 and we are hoping for all our family and friends to be there. The wedding will be held on the beautiful North Norfolk coast where we have had many special family holidays. Email: clarelucy.wedding@gmail.com |
Do you remember those early days when you haven’t set anything to do with your wedding in stone? Each day you flit between different (and ususally out of this world expensive) ideas. One day you’re getting married at Skibo Castle in the Highlands (where Madonna got married) the next you are getting having a gorgeous London wedding at Chelsea Town Hall followed by a Champagne reception and wedding breakfast at Claridges cooked by none other than the mighty Ramsay himself.
Well, one of my wedding fantasies in those early days was for a Mad Men wedding. Partly I’m half in love with the entire cast except for Peggy Olsen and the chubby one who heads up the TV department. But the whole thing looks gorgeous doesn’t it? In no small way down to Janie Bryant the costume designer (who has a style book coming out soon… very exciting).
So I put together (using the mood board tool on Style Me Pretty’s “Style Circle”) this autumnal, retro, urban wedding inspiration board. Go ahead, feel free to use it! The venue images are taken from The East Room in Shoreditch, London which would be the perfect wedding venue for a Mad Men “do.” Not only does it have that cool, retro vibe but it is full of dark and mysterious corners for secret liasons and they do a killer martini.
