A Norfolk wedding |
The date of our wedding is April 2nd 2011 and we are hoping for all our family and friends to be there. The wedding will be held on the beautiful North Norfolk coast where we have had many special family holidays. Email: clarelucy.wedding@gmail.com |

All these cakes are beautiful but option 4 looks like a winner to me. I reckon its a vanilla coconut cake - like we had for Nate’s naming ceremony. Yes it has to be pretty but it also has to TASTE LIKE YUM.
JCrew don’t ship to the UK (boo) happily I have family in the States who could order some of these lovely, simple dresses for me.
With range of colours, shapes and materials that allow you to mix and match they are ideal bridesmaid dresses.
Coast is our best equivalent over here and I don’t think the quality is as high.

Lovely.
I absolutely love love love the flowers from this black tie US wedding

Beautiful colour of bridesmaid dress also.
It’s the princessy skirts.

Think I prefer the 1st, the 2nd dress though gorgeous starts to veer into meringue territory for me.

Flowers are beautiful.

Love this colour, I reckon you could all work green?

Gallery for this wedding here.
Can’t wait for our get together in September, Westfield and its champagne bar beckon!
Matthew Williamson has just launched his beautiful first bridal collection on Net-a-Porter bridal boutique and it isn’t to be missed. Here is a sample.

Modern, romantic and totally gorgeous.
Another dress on the list. Floaty beauty.

Again from Net-a-Porter’s Wedding boutique.
The dress is Alice Temperley. Here is the blurb from Net’s editors:
“Temperley London’s cream silk-chiffon cross-back gown makes a romatic wedding choice. Indulgently embellished with gold beads and mother-of-pearl, this floor-sweeping piece is the perfect dress for glamorous jet-set nuptials.… Shown here with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Nancy Gonzalez clutch.”
An update to my original post - I forgot to include the gorgeous back…

I haven’t posted for ages, because we’ve had a bit of a change of plan for the big day. Instead of having the wedding at Titchwell we have decided to have a marquee wedding in Thornham. I say marquee, but these stunning tents aren’t your usual marquee.
Titchwell have been totally great, we just decided we wanted a bit more space and flexibility. Thanks to the help of some lovely Thornham villagers we have been able to organise the use of the old cricket ground. Exciting times.

So as previously mentioned, I’m helping lovely Tanya organise a tea party. Technically nothing to do with my wedding except being good practice, and the fact I’m thinking of a tea party for my hen do. Anyway I’ve prepared a couple of inspiration boards to try to discover what kind she would like… either:
1) A pretty vintage tea party (inspired by my post below)

Teacup top left is from Pretty Vintage Hire
Teacup bottom right is from The Village Cakery
All other images are copywrite Jane Brockett @Yarnstorm (the woman is a complete inspiration)
2) A pretty modern tea party

In this one ALL of the images are from the delightful Yarnstorm blog. I hope Jane is flattered but as always, happy to take down any photos that other bloggers own the rights to.
So Tan, let me know what you think?

Our wedding isn’t going to be a “vintage” wedding with all the lovely chintzy tea cups and saucers and bunting (but I can picture that version of the wedding soooo easily!) but I’m thinking I might do a vintage tea party for my hen-do.
Pretty Vintage Hire seems to be the best place in Norfolk to hire all the gorgeous vintage crockery, glassware and linens to make a perfect retro tea party of deliciousness.
Currently I’m getting in the mood by helping lovely Tanya to plan a vintage tea party for this May Bank Holiday so I’ll keep you posted on how that goes with pictures etc.
Saw these lovely candle lanterns on Not on the High Street. They would make great decorations for the Garden at Titchwell Manor.

Obviously my dress has to be a secret, but over the next year I will be blogging lots of beautiful dresses I see. So don’t get too overexcited, this isn’t necessarily “the one.” I’m just delighting in it’s sparkly gorgeousness from the brilliant net-a-porter wedding boutique.

Matthew Williamson embellished silk chiffon gown.
Net-a-porter editor’s notes:
“Dazzle in white in Matthew Williamson’s ivory silk-chiffon full-length gown with a shimmering transparent and aqua crystal neckline. The flattering empire-line silhouette and graceful draping make it an enchanting choice for bohemian nuptials; simply add Grecian-inspired golden extras.… Shown here with Jimmy Choo shoes, Maison Martin Margiela bracelet and a Nancy Gonzalez clutch.”
